In recent days, we’ve learned more than 200 women and infants were gang raped over a period of 4 days near a UN compound. http://huff.to/aviztJ  Enough is enough!

We’re in search of 1000 people who will stand up for our sisters in Congo today.  Join us by adding your personal note to our letter insisting that Secretary of State Clinton do everything in her power to stop the violence.  It will only take a few minutes!  Then personally invite 5 friends to join you, or invite your whole network.

Let’s declare this horrific incident a turning point for Congo:

I want to personally invite our friends and colleagues to a concert by Susan Werner here at Lange Estate Friday, August 27th, at 7:30. Susan is a paradigm of the intelligent, heartfelt songwriter. She’s a fearless performer who plays a mean guitar and piano. As some of you might know, I’m a songwriter myself (since 1963!) and, although I’ve heard many fine songs over the years, it’s a fairly rare occasion when I hear a song that is so moving that I say, when I’ve recovered my composure, “Damn. I wish I had written that!” I say this a lot when I hear Susan’s work. This woman is a prodigious talent with a soul as big as the great midwest. I can guarantee that you will find this concert to be thought-provoking, foot-stomping, witty, and revelatory. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door; you can call (503) 538-6476 x1 to purchase your advance tickets. I hope you can join us. Winemaker (and Musician) Don Lange
