I was just looking through some business cards and I came across yours. I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for you going out of your way for me to be able to participate in the tour of the waterfalls on Wednesday, 06/08/2011. I was the customer that you picked up at the La Quinta and transported me to downtown Portland to meet the tour van. The tour was awesome and I really enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour as well as your tour guide. I like to travel so I was wondering if you help people who travel in other parts of the country outside of Portland?? Again, thank you for your kindness.

Tour with America’s Hub World Tours!

Our first stop was at the Woodland Visitor’s Center in Woodland, WA. This was a very cute and quaint visitor center that had a wealth of information both on Woodland and on Portland, OR. We then departed for the Mt. St. Helen’s Visitor Center. This was a lodge type facility where we got to view a 16 minute film about the history and eruption of the mountain. The center has exhibits of local history, trails and models of the mountain before and after the eruption. We then continued up the mountain to arrive at Eco Park Resort. Where we were treated to a wonderful sampling of their menu which included, hamburgers, beef stew in a bread bowl, grilled cheese sandwiches, and the best homemade pies I have ever tasted. After we were done eating we were given a tour of the 90 acre resort which includes log cabins, and yurts. The grounds were beautiful and can accommodate RV’s and tents. They also provide horseback riding, hiking and helicopter tours. After a wonderful visit with the owners we were off again.
Our next stop was the Johnston Ridge Observatory. We were awestruck with the spectacular and up close views of Mt. St. Helens. An absolute must is the movie of the actual eruption viewed in the observatory complete with rumbling and sound effects. At the conclusion of the movie you are left completely awestruck as the curtain raises and you are looking straight on to the crater, so close you can almost reach out and touch it.
Our next stop on the way back to Portland was Mt. St. Helen’s cellars located in the Blue Heron B&B. The wine was wonderful. The winery is locally owned and operated and the B&B has spectacular views from their balconies and porches. It was a perfect way to end the day. I want to thank America’s Hub World Travel for including me. I found their staff to be very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Ramona was a wealth of information with her numerous facts about the mountain, eruption and overall geological ‘factoids’. Mike was a wonderful driver and Leslie kept us on track to make sure we didn’t miss anything. Having not been here during the eruption, it was incredible to see the impact first hand, from the mud flows to the massive hole it left in the mountain. I was completely enthralled with the whole experience. Thank you for giving me this opportunity.

I will definitely recommend it for anyone who was here and has not had a chance to see it up close and those who were not.

Hello all,
I had the opportunity last night to take some of your fellow volunteer VIC Travel Counselors on a new Hub World Travel tour. The new “Portland City Lights Tour.”
Portland really comes alive at night, we toured the beautiful city lights made even more spectacular by the holiday season. We began at Pioneer Square with our wonderful lighted tree. We then stopped for a view of the city from the east side at OMSI. Then off to Rocky Butte to view the city from above, and walk up to the view point, what a view. Then we were off to the Grotto’s Festival of Lights, it was beautiful and we enjoyed the over half a million lights, music, the animals, and petting zoo. Once Peacock Lane begins on the 12th of December the tour will visit there as well, and then end at NW 23rd for a hot drink and a chocolate tasting at Moonstruck Chocolates.
The tour will operate Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, and Thursdays from 6:30p to 9:30p.

$40.00pp which includes admission to the Grotto.

There is some walking involved but nothing to strenuous.
Enjoy,
Pam

“David, thank you SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very much from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful everything…..card….special webpage…..$$$ gift!!
I feel very touched and honored and happy.
From my point of view, YOU are the one who deserves the accolades because you stick your neck out and lay your money on the line to create a job for me/us. That’s no small feat in general and in particular in this funky economy, and you work harder than all of us together. I feel that i do no more than my work – and what fun, rewarding work it is! I just love it because all its components fit me to a ‘T’ – driving, showing people the beauty of nature, the city, the breathtaking vistas, and taking care of people. I am instantly rewarded when I hear a collective ooh in the van when those folks from all over the states and world view the waterfalls, mountains, the ocean, for the first time. It immensely adds to the financial reward for working.
I will forever be grateful to my old friend Petra in Germany for introducing me to Peter via phone, and for Peter for mentioning his work, and suggesting me to you when you needed another guide.
It is an absolute pleasure working for and with you at HWT and I am looking forward very very much to a long and mutually fruitful relationship with you and all of my fellow guides.
Thank you again and see you on Thursday, when i will be available to work a morning half-day tour. Today and tomorrow, I am in first finals seclusion (needless to say, i’d much rather take off and see 20 foot swells at the coast……:)”

your company was incredibly easy and flexible. Garret did a great job
It sounded like they are upto enjoying the entire tour today. I recall discussing cutting the tour short, but I believe they can last today until 6 pm [...]
